5 ways a professional property photographer can make your house look amazing
As professional property photographers we have many tricks and techniques that bring out the best in houses and make them look their finest for the estate agency market. Here are a few trade secrets that help us achieve this.
Light!
Even the brightest house will need a little extra added light to create the best shot. Our aim is to create a natural looking photograph balancing the exterior sun light with the shaded interior light and we do this by using a number of flash lights. Here you will find an example of how effective this is. The top image has no flash light and the bottom is lit with 3 strategically positioned flash lights.
Blue Sky
Houses always look better with a blue sky and we are able to provide one no matter what weather. Here you will find an example of how effective this is. The top image has no flash light and the bottom is lit with 3 strategically positioned flash lights.
Little tweaks can make all the difference
Even the most well-presented home can benefit from little alterations. Sometimes nudging the sofa, moving a vase or tweaking an arm chair can make all the difference when it comes to getting the photograph just right.
In this image you will find that the relatively little tasks of altering the position of the stools and swapping around some of the items on the kitchen worktops open up the room and focus your eye much better.

Elevation
At Exposure we can provide mast photography up to 30ft and drone photography for heights above that so your property can be seen in a way that has not been seen before. An elevated shot can show your property within its landscape much better than from ground level and can give the viewer a much better idea of size and scale.
Fine Detail
As property photographers we are always looking for the small detail that make a property unique, from banister rails, bespoke furniture to roll top baths we are always looking for features that show off your property to the maximum.
